Word Filled Wednesdays: Having A Large Family
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127: 3-5
Having a large family is great. It is entertaining even. Three olders and three “minis” as we call them. The get along great….well you know what I mean. They will get along perfectly…In Jesus Name!
The word quiet takes on new levels and solitude is pursued at any cost. It would seem quite boring however, to have it any other way. All the screaming and kids chasing each other around…teen music blasting in the kitchen at night as I tell them to wash the dishes and clean MY KITCHEN BEFORE MIDNIGHT!
The cuddle time with the three youngest which means they get to watch BJ’s Teddy Bear Bible Stories before bedtime…This might sound cute to you…if so I want you to imagine the wiggling of 3 squirmy 2 and 5yos who are excited and not quite sleepy yet! It is quite a sight to behold. It is definitely fun unless MOM is OVERTIRED. Then I have to doze a bit to beat back the “grumps”.
I don’t have quite the same amount of time to blog as I used to because the twins are TWO YEARS OLD NOW!!! The kids homeschooling is also ramping up due to PA home school requirements we need to take care of. It’s kinda like scrapbooking and you end up with what they call a portfolio. A collection of the years work…more like a representation of the year’s work or lack thereof. Anyway, I must go back to that even though blogging is much more fun!
Soon I will post their cherished birthday pictures and such. But for now I wanted to say hello.

You have a beautiful family!
