Thankful Thursday: Gingerbread House Town Pictures: Homeschool Co-op
Today I am soooo thankful for the people I “work” with to homeschool our families together. The teachers that make it all happen!! This week in particular…I am celebrating the HARD work of folks who put together our January Christmas Party!
I thank God for them because I have learned so much from them this year about diligence, cooperation, stick-to-it-iveness, patience and giving 110% as Deb likes to say! God has been gracious to us and has helped us…I am humbled by these folks. The kids too, are an amazing mix….put together by the Lord. This co-op helps round out our homeschool program for several subjects…FUN is one of them…
Homeschool Co-op Gingerbread House Party
To celebrate CHRISTMAS our homescool co-op decided to have a Gingerbread House Party!! The kids were VERY QUIET and FOCUSED like you would not believe! They worked intently as they decorated the houses…
I’m not quite sure if they had ENOUGH CANDY???
They all SLIPPED some Chocolate Teddy Grahams, Fruit Twists too much of the other kinds. Joy (standing) on break from college, helped out… She baked, cut and prepared ALL the gingerbread houses the NIGHT BEFORE…ALL NIGHT LONG! She is SUCH a blessing to all of us. We appreciate her!
Thanks JOY!
The kids worked together to create their masterpieces….
This one is actually a VIKING SHIP!
We so appreciate Miss Donna for her tireless dedication to help make our co-op celebrations OVER-THE-TOP. We have our moments of interest like most co-ops do and God Blesses the work of her hands for sure!! She must pray ALOT!
Miss Sandra in the background helped coordinate to pull this event together…I am thankful that she has the gift of administration…..she is also a tough Spanish teacher who takes NO EXCUSES from her students=) ALL the students (even the reluctant ones) sang Spanish songs during our Pre-Christmas Party. Thanks Miss Sandra!
Thanks Miss Donna and her patient family that support her efforts to prepare for this event! Donna also did the 24hr day to get ready for this Gingerbread House Town….ouch. You couldn’t tell when she was creating her infamous….
OCTAGON HOUSE based on her Nanowrimo Novel that we hope will be published soon.
In the end, there was TONS of leftover candy, HAPPY CHILDREN and Pretty Gingerbread houses for the town Miss C created! She and her daughter crated the actual town for us. Excellent teamwork. I could not have imagined making a town from scratch!
I am also thankful to be able to blog for this Thankful Thursday…its been a while=) For more Thankful Thursday participants.
