WFW – Trusting God to Help Us for the Medieval Festival
Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight
Proverbs 3:6
Our homeschool co-op recently planned an event….a Medieval Festival and Faire…it was quite a challenge. It was fun once we had it but @ one point it wasn’t clear if it would happen at all….
The world would not have crashed in on us if we didn’t have it but the Lord kept encouraging us…..and providing despite everything and anything. He even cares about FUN!!!
IT was…..truly a test of our faith and trust in HIM….He is so wonderful and faithful…as we trust in HIM…He does His thang’
The Great King is Coming Soon
The leader…speaker of the medieval program acknowledged HIM as the “Great King” who was away from the castle…but is COMING SOON!!
It was soooo funny that the little kids were asking..”Are you sure the King is coming back? When is He coming back” We assured them that Jesus is the TRUE King and He will return soon….
It was a fun day….the moms served the kids who were nobility…they got a kick out of that.
God really gave us a good day…..I am soooooo grateful.
Medieval Festival Pictures
My Lil Knight in his armor….WITHOUT the sword that confidently was left at home!!! Here he is with his posse….or his court=)
That beautiful wreath for my princess lasted about……………….30 seconds!!
That wreath lasted about ……………………..30 seconds…IF THAT!
The Castle Cake….was soooooooooo yummy. We froze some and are STILL eating it!
Shops were set up at the festival….my dd loved learning to use the loom at my house when the faire coordinator came to my house…..She was hooked and volunteered to do the Tapestry & Weaving Booth!!!
I LOVED the prisoner & guards doing their job!
I am VEERRRY grateful our old homeschool friends came to town…....it was hard to say goodbye though…the lil girl especially has a sweet spot in my heart…I tell her mom to “Raise her for me and when she gets older she is MINE…ha ha”
My dd (green) and her friends were kinda strict about collecting money for their apple cart!!
I told ‘em…I PAID for the food and I can’t get a tart???
They did not relent…….one bit. So I got some change….oh well=) LOL
Again……………NO SWORD!!!! Call me a cruel mom…but the idea of
A) Keeping up with it so as not to loose it and
The chance of him poking someone playfighting made me cringe….
I am so thankful that we couldn’t find it that morning….I think that was the Lord’s sovereign wisdom of the hour…
My son of course HATES to be in pics….but needless to say…he presented “game” during the Medieval Feast.
The co-director of the co-op was the “dreamer” AND “town crier” for the Medieval Festival and Faire….their family spent countless hours working and praying to make the event possible…Praise God for them!!! She is shown here for the hand washing ceremony.
The Funny lady…the other co-director of the co-op CRACKED a thousand jokes as the stuck up “Lady of Nobility” pretending to interact with “Mere peasants”
OH she cracked me up alllll day!!!
THANK YOU LORD!
