Word Filled Wednesday - Enter His Presence To Cheer Up

Well it is another Word Filled Wednesday!
It is so good to know we can approach God and chat with Him. We can ENTER into His presence with thanksgiving and praise =)
I love watching kids freely enter into His presence as they romp and play with Jesus during worship. FREEDOM to worship is what they have! No wonder it is often easier for kids to hear God....they invite His presence with their worship. If you put any worship weapons in their hands and teach them to use them....they JUST DO IT.
I was listening to a song today that said that their "weapon" was praise. I tell you what....it was so encouraging!
I was originally in a BAD MOOD...one of THOSE days if you know what I mean.
My normal "coping" methods weren't quite helping me to cheer up....but THEN when I heard that song I realized I could USE PRAISE AS A "WEAPON" to help defeat my yucky emotions .
I can't say I was immediately clicking my heels in the air BUT it was clear that praising His name could bring in HIS presence. With the presence of God in my heart....I could OVERCOME. So I kept singing and praising, ignoring the "tape" in my brain and asking God for His grace and presence....
It HELPED!!!

Have been listening to Joyce Meyer speaking of the power of what comes out of our mouth.....especially what we say about ourselves and our moods.
I was on the treadmill the other day and walked to "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

That is funny b/c that WAS MY WALKING EXCERCIZING VERSE TOO!!!! Awesome. You are right about what we say...I need to refocus sometimes....ok alot. I am glad God is in control.

That is so true. Jesus said that nobody may enter the kingdom unless they have the faith like a child. Children don't let worries or cares or hurts keep them from God. It should be the same with us.
What a great reminder that we can use praise to combat the snares of satan on our mind!
