WFW – EFFECTIVE PRAYER

WORD FILLED WEDNESDAY  - EFFECTIVE PRAYER AND A REQUEST

WFW Prayer Post 3-23-10

A HEAVY HEART

I am posting today with a heart of concert for one of my little friends…..my 7yo friend who lost his mom this past Christmas.

He came to church this Sunday and just stood by the wall...looking like he didn't know what to do with himself.

He used to sit with his mom.

He just stood there looking lost and not playing with the kids.

So his loving sister who was dropping him off noticed this, came back and quickly scooped him up to take him home realizing he didn't want to be there...I wish I comforted him….it all happened so quickly all I could do is watch......it was so sad…

Please pray God’s strength for my 7yo friend, his dad and big sister....healing from the passing of his mom. Also, that he would be able to attend church regularly so we can minister to him and help him as his mom wanted....

PRAYER WORKS

When we pray and chat with our Father, it is so awesome because He hears us and ACTUALLY answers us.

I call it “The base-line” when my needs or my attitude gets out of control and therefore my prayers get really intense. It STILL amazes me and I marvel because HE ANSWERS…even when it looks absolutely impossible.

In fact, is seems almost like God LIKES when it is totally BLLAAAHH so HE can FIX IT.

I remember Joash with your little friend. God will surely comfort him. I'll pray for him too. I hope he'll grow up a happy and well-rounded man despite the lost of her mom at his early age.

Hello new friend! I have been so encouraged by your recent comments on my blog. It is WONDERFUL to "meet you".....your posts (I have been reading several just now! ) are so open, honest, and beautiful. I love the one below about getting our minds off of ourselves (when we just want some "me" time!) and loved the picture of the tea party- so much PINK!!!!

I am so amazed that you have been homeschooling for (13?) years! WOW! I have decided to homeschool my kids next year.....I am excited and nervous all at the same time!

OK...as far as WFW and how to do it. This picture I actually did last year. At that time I had downloaded a free graphics program called serif. I just then started playing with it. It is a super easy program to use. Since then, however, I have a new computer with new software on it that I can't (haven't spent enough time yet) figure out!!! So, my recent WFW have been really simple (like a kindergartner). I am tempted to download Serif again, but I keep telling myself to just learn this one!!!!!! Anyway, looking at some of your WFW from today and last week- you are doing a fabulous job with the graphics!!! But, the most important thing about WFW is the WORD...and yours was powerful.

I am praying for your friend as well.

So glad to "meet" you and look forward to getting to know you better!!!!

    Blessings!

      I am floored...

thanks sooo much for contacting me....you are Thirsty for Him....that says it ALL!

I pray that your preparation for your homeschool journey will be smooth. I know God always helps His thang' You will connect with your kids on such a deep level you will never regret it. You may have some of "those" days but overall it is great to have the kids around and become best friends with them...I admit I am hiding right now in my basement for a breather BUT it is worth it...LOL
If you have any ???PLEASE just let me know. I will see them too if you blog about it too when I visit you on Wed's

I wish I had that serif program for just a few pics....you should see me begging my 13yo son for his help. I did 3 hrs this week and had nothing =) Hilarious. He did it in a few min...

Finally I wanted to thank you for praying for my 7yo friend. He is a cool boy, I love him and pray God will heal his heart. You should hear his prayers....breaks my heart.

Well gotta go face reality =)
       Blessings

This literally brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for this little guy who lost his main lifeline. Without sounding like a total braggart, we are mothers are the true north of our children's lives. It's a devastating loss and I can't imagine how much he must be missing her. I will pray that he can return soon and that he will be loved upon by some of the women in the congregation. This won't bring his mommy back but it could soothe him just for the moment to be held by a "mommy type." Prayers will be sent up on this end.
