TEA PARTY WITH THE GIRLS at EVER ABUNDANT LIFE
THE GIRLS INVITED TO A TEA PARTY=)
My daughter’s god mom invited us to an awesome woman’s tea party at her church, Ever Abundant Life in Philadelphia in their new banquet room.
The girls were buzzing about the tea party all week…you know…. what to wear, what shoes, what to expect and such.
Every girl likes to play dress up so I too looked forward to the tea party. While I was worried about my hair that is overdo to be redone (uugh) I was mostly excited to dress up our new twin babies…we don’t have dress-up matching outfits but Bellie had a beautiful dress to wear…..fun fun…baby dress-up….
BUT FIRST….
WE HAD TO GET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE RIDE TO REMEMBER
Rain
High winds
A truck throwing off mist
Traffic jams
and sketchy directions….
PLUS WE WERE RUNNING LATE!
The ride seeeeeeeeeeeeeemed straight forward on Google maps.….I allowed one of my kids to print them out but later realized that something is gained by studying the various directions from MapQuest and Google maps myself.
The biggest snafu of the day was was my fateful statement, “I don’t need a map, don’t worry about because it is a straight forward route.”
THEN we had to decide between our online directions vs. the NAV in our van that was saying something totally different…
NOW YOU TELL ME do you understand where this NAV is leading????
We took HOURS to get there…I am convinced there is not much of Philadelphia we didn’t touch a bit….praise God we got there safely despite the weather! AND we saw another family coming late too…..that always makes me feel better (silly I know)
TWINS ENJOYED THEIR GREAT IDEA: TABLE THEMES FOR WOMANS’ TEA PARTY
Each table had a different theme so we saw a butterfly table, a beach table, a girl table, elegant tables, red tables, 4th of July tables, and more …..the ladies really put a lot of effort into this tea party! They even had a time of reflection when the ladies shared their hearts and one lady sang a praise song that gave me goosebumps! Whew, what an anointed voice!
The twins enjoyed themselves at their different tables (divide and conquer) =) Oh, they were happy EXCEPT when at the end of the party when a nice gentleman came in and tried to chat with Bellie and she ROARED! She doesn’t take to strangers too much….I didn’t have to teach her not to take candy from strangers=)
I’m not sure if they were celebrating in their new banquet hall or if it was newly renovated but I know they plan to rent it out groups now….call them if you need a place in Philly=)
OVERALL A FUN TEA PARTY WITH PURPOSE!
The ladies ended their party with table awards for different categories….that was cute. They really glorified God with this event. They had fun, food and worship…
I think the girls were thrilled with THE CHOCOLATE. That was the theme of the day for them! I have to admit I was eyeing a chocolate cake at one table that had me drooling. It took everything in me to resist asking for a piece…it was rich and chocolaty looking.
THE RIDE HOME????
With a nice cup of Duncan Donuts coffee, an engaging chat with the girls AND SLEEP TWINS the ride home was a breeze. We blindly followed the NAV and amazingly we got home w/o getting mixed up…that much.
