WARNING: PARENTS BE CAREFUL FOR YOUR KIDS EYES IF THEY USE IGOOGLE
I was using iGoogle today with my 4yo @ the computer with me and I realized their HOMEPAGE THEMES page OPENS by default with soft porn there…in your face….it is a “HOTTEST” item. Since I don’t change homepage themes on iGoogle I didn’t know how to quickly navigate away from the immodest naked lady. UUUGH! I had to just quickly shut down the page…
TWO DISAPPOINTMENTS WITH GOOGLE
The FIRST disappointing point is that GOOGLE EVER offered soft porn as an option on iGoogle for it to BECOME a hottest item. It is SCARY to think that maybe KIDS and YOUNG PEOPLE ARE having soft porn as their homepage theme.
The SECOND disappointment is that GOGGLE doesn’t filter PORN from their easy to access pages. I looked it up online to see if there were other complaints. There are some others who DO NOT LIKE “mature” themes on iGoogle BUT obviously there has NOT BEEN ENOUGH NOISE to CAUSE THEM to change.

I know many kids love iGoogle, in fact I loved iGoogle.
BUT now I realize…until there is a way to keep the “HOTTEST” pornography items from popping up first, my kids are BEING SLIMED EVERY TIME THEY CHANGE THEMES. That cannot be.
iGoogle needs to change or parents need to stop or limit their kids using iGoogle.

Also, I meant it....I really appreciate what you are doing. It is a work that is needed. There are many single moms that need to know your message.. I actually have a few best friends who are single moms and they need encouragement and strengthening! I respect them highly...If I can help u get the word out when your book is done plz let me know. I wish folks were less sensasionlist - but google is in the business of offering search results.
And that means to the entire internet.
By singling out igoogle for blame you ignore the fact that soft porn is available from the serach page directly.
You need to learn to control google / children and not blame a search engine for doing what it's there to do.

I really appreciate your sharing. I single this one out simply because of how I tried to be careful and realized my kids were being slimed in spite of my efforts to be careful.....
I believe they should be responsible=)
