I have several expectant pregnant moms who are about to embark upon a great journey. It is an exciting adventure to adjust from being just an adult and TRANSFORM INTO A MOM!!!! It is a significant and very rewarding jump =)
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE HARD PART?
Ok,ok I will admit there are a few things that may come up that are a challenge….sleepless nights, hormonal changes, changes to your relationships..BUT they are nothing compare to the fulfilling role of “Mommy!” “Mommy”“Mommy”
HOW CAN I GET READY FOR MY NEW BABY?
HERE IS THE LIST OF A FEW SUGESSTIONS TO HELP EXPECTANT PREGNANT MOMS GET READY FOR BABY OR MULTIPLE BABIES:
TOP 10 TIPS for EXPECING PREGNANT MOMS – GETTING READY
- Prayer Time- To keep yourself relaxed and maintain peace…ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DOCTORS GIVE YOU THEIR MANY HELPFUL WARNINGS LOL A good daily devotional can help you make a habit or prayer and bible reading that will carry you far. God gives wisdom to parents who ask Him to.
- Go light on the childbirth & pregnancy videos – If you have thick skin then this is not an issue for you.LOL. BUT when you mix: FLUCTUATING HORMONE LEVELS and TOO MANY PREGNACY VIDEOS = FRETTING & STRESSED OUT MOM TO BE (I found this one out the hard way when pregnant with twins…one eve of surfing the ‘net watching tons of “warning & potential danger” videos plus those wonderful alarming facts about of prenatal babies set me off for 2 DAYS. LOL)
- Read Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize and other ENCOURAGING BOOKS for EXPECT PREGNANT MOMS
- Enjoy your Doctors – People have different philosophies about doctors…I think they are a BLESSING. I believe in being a good patient UP TO A POINT. For instance I DO NOT ACCEPT bad reports from them but believe God heals and helps the “problem” stuff they have to warn us about. I do cooperate with the doctors for the recovery process
- Sign up for free materials and coupons – Here are some suggested products you can get free coupons and materials from:

- Bible – Regular reading of versus to baby is HIGHLY recommended while your baby will “sit still” for you! Developing their relationship with God early.. I believe leads to more pliable children who quickly learn to do what is right.
- “Pure Joy” by Crystal Wade & Arthur Burke
- Play Music to Baby – Worship music & singing are great for baby to foster peace. This is FUN! Now you may think I’m weird but my favorite music for babes is NOT designed for them traditionally BUT it does get them going spiritually. I play this WHEN I CAN from the womb through their first year:
“I AM” CD – by John Paul Jackson![]()
A music sample to LISTEN to ( please don’t show to baby =)

Sadly, two of the books you referenced are known to neither be medically accurate or theologically sound. Please be very, very cautious when recommending books to new mothers. . . especially Babywise and Supernatural Childbirth.

Thanks so much for sharing....
The Babywise book you mentioned has been controversial for many years due to many who took the basic traditional principles outlined in the Ezzos further than outlined in the book...
We have raised some of our 6 children WITH the principles in the book and some WITHOUT. I can say first hand that the basic training and scheduling principles are definately BETTER because the routine helped me have a better grip on what my babies needs were based on where they were in their schedule.
While I appreciate your statements about the Supernatural Pregnancy book....again I must repectfully disagree with you. I do not believe God is limited by the fact that Eve ate the apple=)
I believe God is not bound by out tradition or our theology. I do believe in good sound biblical doctrine but do not see how this book doesn't follow biblical principles. A loving God who wants to heal, communicate with, help and bless His people...maybe you can clarify....if you like....
Again I really appreciate you sharing your opinion...
Thanks
Lois

Thanks for this resource. Another great book is one by Dr. Dean Raffelock’s called “A Natural Guide to Pregnancy and Postpartum Health”? It is also a really valuable book for pregnant moms.
