Twins Immunizations
BABY IMMUNIZATIONS
Immunizations of babies are a sticky subject among moms these days....
To risk disease by not immunizing babies and children or to risk the side affects of the immunizations. I am not sure what to think @ this point. My older children were faithfully immunized. I did everything the doctors required...except the flu shots.
FLU SHOTS
I personally had a flu shot years ago and was so sick that it turned me off the idea. Then when doctors scheduled them...I would PLAN to go but EVERY TIME we got colds...
My most recent doctor discussed the concept for the twins and I agreed since we have had so many colds float thru the house this year. But they gave it to them ON TOP OF THE OTHER 6 Inoculations. My dd was ill for a solid week...this doesn't make sense to me.
SICK TWINS
I am very concerned because starting with my 3yo the number of shots have doubled compared to my older batch. I am not sure how I feel about it anymore because it makes them very ill for a week. PLUS I have heard the risks of the side affects. These immunization risks include autism. Sometimes God, "Puts His finger" on things for me to pray about and I think Belly's sickness after immunizations has gotten my attention...

IMMUNIZATION OPTIONS
I have SO MANY peers who caution me about the problems with shots that it is hard to chug along like I did for years blindly following my doctors. I am praying about what to do....fortunately I have till they are 9mos to decide....
1. I was told I can request shots that do not have the unhealthy preservatives... I will have to look into that. This option I like the best @ this point.
2. Change the immunization schedule. I can pick and choose which shots to give and consider changing when and how often their shots are given.
3. The OPTION of NOT having immunizations would have to be seriously discussed with my hubby who is pro-immunization.
MORE INFO NEEDED
I read a wonderful article by a fellow homeschooler who researched the topic as well....I will ask her permission to reprint. More to come later....

I don't think there can be anything much worse than taking two babies in to the doctor to get their shots. It's heartbreaking. The only thing worse is taking two preschoolers in to get their kindergarten shots. Talk about ridiculous. I will be lucky to ever get them into the doctor's office again.
