Well it is close to Birthday and Christmas season and I have to pick out toys for my soon-to-be 4yo....
He has an old leappad system, in fact two of them...but they barely work. I even took out little sets from the library for the older system with mixed results...if I play with it and get it in just so then it works...for the most part. 

On the other hand, he is a little boy so what difference does it make? If he is not frustrated because he mostly just like the fact that it makes sound at all=) why should I spend $?

I will look into the new LeapFrogs. I know my kids LOVED the older system as kids. For birthday though we are looking for "Better Batter?" who knows what that is. If he is saying it right....Trying to pull a gift list from a 3yo is something else. I thought there were no commercials on PBS so how did better batter slip in there anyway....that's what I want to know.
