Feeding Wrestling Match!
Whew....I just attempted to feed my son his mush.... baby oatmeal and sweet potatoes.
I tried to hold him on my lap. That was my FIRST mistake...in an attempt to get some work done... I brought his mush bowl, little snack bottle, spit cloth to my DESK! Why would I do that? Because when I attempted to feed my daughter, who is remarkably more mild mannered than my male son, even at 6 mos, it went relatively ok. She ate, we made a little mess and was done.
But THIS time my son was in a "bouncy" mood=) So he rocked back and forth and bounced on my lap as I attempted to feed him. I tried to hold him so he woudn't FLY off my lap. THEN he decided reaching for my spoon over and over was fun, AS he BOUNCED!
I attempted to manage all this as I carried on the conversation with my 3yo who CALLED "MOM' NO LESS THAN 30TIMES WITHIN ABOUT 10MIN...LITERALLY
So it went ok until close to the end of the bowl, that's when it became tricky. I tried to hold the bowl and tip it, as I held by son, AND held his haands from grabbing everything. All of this happened inches from my laptop (smart huh?) Anyway, I was also TRYING to train him, "No grap spoon please". It was this contant motion of activity that was exhausting...no to him but to me of course! He's the "happy Wittles" now...
Well I thought I got through the whole ordeal unscathed and I cleaned off his little mouth thankful that I finally had fed him. THEN HE SPIT UP ALL OVER MY NEW GLIDER ROCKER!
Oh well....
Praise God he's happy now rolling on the blanket , babbling to his fingers......oh the joys!
Blessings
