Parenting Book: Pure Joy! by Crystal Wade and Arthur Burk

This book is an awessome devetional that was recommended and loaned to me to read to the twin babes. Since they were in my belly I was encouraged to say these scriptural blessings each day.

I did the best I could thoughout the pregnancy....I can't say I did it every day but you know how it can be....some nights I just curled up somewhere and passed out. The pregnancy was quite an experience...both good and challenging at the same time.....so consisancy was tricky. But when I did it I read one blessing for each twin. It was a great bonding time to be honest.

Now it is good for morning time when the twins are up plus my 3yo and the big kids are SLEEP...it goes well usually but the silly part is I can get 2 blessings read  I don't try to push past that b/c of interuptions, my 3yo boucing on the bed, crying...stuff like that. It is still a memorable part of our am routine=)

Book review:

Pure Joy! by Crystal Wade and Arthur Burk

This book was a very helpful way to pray and proclaim blessings over children. The book states: "

Your child's capacity for joy is best developed before the age of two.

The spirit has the greatest potential for joy. There are so many facets of our spirit’s relationship that are designed to produce different flavors of joy in our spirit.

This book is a tresure chest of tools for nurturing your child's capacity for joy in their spirit- beginning with conception
."

But- it is also useful to minister to your toddlers, kids, teenagers on up to adults. Anyone who could use moe joy...

This book is recommended to use for Family Devotion Time...when kids are more receptive to listen.

The best part about this book to make it user friendly is that I could open it ANYWHERE reading the  various topics as I felt led to each day.  My favorite chapter... "The Joy of Obedience"....just kidding. Actually I enjoyed the whole book equally as it covers many topics like Joy of God's Favor, Legitimacy and Identity, Joy of Justice and so on....

I highly recommend this book. Actually I highly recommend Arthur Burks work...all that I have seen has been encouraging and uplifting.
