Well sleeping is the question of the day.....
How many times AFTER they ask how old are they ask that question...

"Are they sleeping thru the Nite???????????????????????"
No, why???? Because they are spoiled????? No because they are still young @ 3mos. They are doing stretches of 5+ hours which are great! God has been gracious to us=)

Most of the Twin Books we have encountered strongly recommend a tight schedule for multiples....

This book BABY WISE saved me after I spoiled my first pleasantly plump child who we fed at every wimper. I was working 40+ hours a week and pooped. I did not believe the principles in this book to be worthwhile or doable UNTIL.......our friends had to stay with us for a week do to a power outage at their home.

They had a young infant only a few mos old in a bassinet who the mom simply LAYED DOWN for a nap.  WHAT??????? No nursing them to sleep, tiptoing gently to lay down baby only to START AGAIN if the wake. I said to her, "YOU'VE got to be KIDDING ME?" But sure enough the baby cried about a minute and settled down to a restful sleep. Meanwhile my sweetheart wasn't sleeping well yet and she was close to 1yo.  I wish I could say we CHANGED our ways after witnessing this for a week AND speaking with another husband who described similar results in his household......BUT we just couldn't stand to HEAR CRYING.....uuuugh. So we limped along UNTIL I was pregnant with baby #2 in the "oven" then due to sheer exhausion  I compromised by allowing my Hubby to give our pumpkin water when she woke at nite that HE served her. She was furious and let us know for 3 nites in a row. "No Mommy and Water?" Rediculous she thought....so our sweet girl decided to "fix us" by sleeping thru the nite.....afterall, there was really nothing to wake up for!!!!!

When baby #2 came on the scene we were ready.....we applied the Baby Wise principles as well as we could....good thing we did! Our son was a BEAR. He cried mmmuuccchh more no matter WHAT we did. So we stuck to a schedule for him and by 6mos he was a beaut!!! His life ran like clockwork and life was good. Turns out his personality STILL gravitates toward schedules.

So here we are with the twins TRYING our best to impliment SOMETHING, while juggling the 3 yo and the rest.....

Time to pull out the book AGAIN.....
